Who we are
Onxtra is an incorporated Ontario technology company based in Toronto. We began as a software and cloud engineering firm, delivering web applications, integrations and infrastructure for Canadian public- and private-sector clients.
That work taught us where technology projects actually fail: not in the model or the framework, but in the data nobody mapped, the permissions nobody reviewed, and the staff nobody trained. AI makes those failures faster and harder to see.
So we've focused the company on one problem: helping organizations adopt AI safely, from the first high-value workflow to production systems that are independently tested and continuously watched. The engineering capability is still here, now in service of that goal.

What we're building
Every review, pilot and sprint feeds a reusable assurance platform: one place to inventory and classify deployed AI systems and agents, test them for prompt injection, data leakage, excessive permissions and unsafe tool use, watch model, prompt and configuration changes for behavioural regressions, and generate the evidence that management, customers and regulated environments ask for.
We're validating it through pilots with Canadian organizations rather than in a lab, so what it checks for is what actually goes wrong.
Research
Containing and evaluating more autonomous systems
Alongside customer work we run a separate research stream on a harder question: how do you contain, test and keep evidence on AI systems that act on their own, chain tools together, or change their own behaviour over time?
The answers shape what the platform tests for next, and they're the reason we'd rather be the ones checking your agents than the ones selling them to you.
